Current projects: Vine robot touch sensing
Michael joined the IRIS Lab in the Fall of 2021. He is from St. Simons Island, Georgia, a small town about an hour south of Savannah. Professionally, Michael is very interested in robotics, specifically in how natural systems can be applied to influence robotic design. In his free time, Michael loves sports, maybe a little too much. He also enjoys reading books, watching movies, and is trying to get into climbing after watching Free Solo. His hometown has a maximum elevation of 40 ft though, so wish him the best of luck on that.
